What we hold
If a person can stand in it, sit in it, or park a body in it, we will do that for you. We do not hold anything requiring a licence, a uniform, or an opinion.
- Queue standing
- Ticketed lines, box offices, passport counters, the first day of a sale. We hold the position and text you when you are eight people from the front.
- Parking spot occupancy
- A holder stands in the bay with high-visibility vest and clipboard until you arrive. Effective in ramps, street parking, and the good spot at the trailhead.
- Table holding
- For restaurants that do not take reservations. Our holder sits, orders water, and reads. On your arrival the table is transferred without either party standing up.
- Seat saving
- Theatres, lecture halls, ballparks, the third pew from the front. Coats are not a service we endorse. A coat is not a person.
- Room occupancy
- Conference rooms with no booking system, laundromat machines, library study carrels. The holder leaves when you arrive and takes nothing with them.
- Standby presence
- Gate areas, waiting rooms, the DMV. You are called; we call you; you arrive. Our holder has already read the sign and knows which window.
How a hold works

You book the position
Tell us the address, the thing to be held, and the hour you expect to arrive. We confirm within twenty minutes during business hours.

A holder takes the position
Our holder arrives fifteen minutes early and stays put. They carry identification and will show it to anyone who asks, including management.

You arrive and the hold ends
The position transfers to you. Billing stops at the minute of transfer, not the end of the booked hour.
Rates
Billed by the quarter hour after the first hour. Holidays and weather below 10°F are charged at the overnight rate.

A hold is a person, not a claim. If a venue removes our holder we refund the booking in full and file nothing further. We do not hold positions in queues for medical care, housing, or emergency services.
